  1. stay calm and swim with the coast line to get out of the rip tide. If you swim againts it, you will get very tired and possibly drown.

  2. Swim parallel to the shore until you feel you are no longer being pulled out to sea. Then you can swim back.

  3. Swim parallel to the shore to get out of it. What's happening here is a long bump is created on the ocean floor, the outgoing current will rip a narrow passage in that bump which creates a strong outgoing current at that spot. so you dont want to try to swim towards shore but swim out of the current by swiming parallel to the shore. It's hard to expain.

  4. defiantly depends, most of the time swimming is what slows you or stops you from going with the current... sometimes this is what kills people. they get exhausted and drown..... i think you'd be better off floated on your back through the current.

  5. If you become tired after attempting to swim parallel to shore, and you are still trapped,  it is best to stop fighting and float on your back and wait for help to find you.

  6. swim sideways

  7. swim parallel to the shore. Dont try to swim straight towards the shore.

  8. swim parallel to the shore.

  9. 3 rules:

    DON'T PANIC!

    DON'T SWIM TO SHORE FOWARD!

SWIM TO PARALLEL TO THE SHORE!

  10. swim parralel to the shore to get out of it then once out swim in oh yeah and dont panic thats never a goodtime

  11. Swim across it and not into it.

  12. DO NOT SWIM OUT OF IT it ill pull you farther out. swim parrallel to the shore and eventually you will be taken into shore

  13. swim parallel to the current , not the shore. If you try to swim against it, it will tire u and u might die.

  14. You swim sideways...that is, you don't try to swim directly in toward shore. You swim at a right angle to the rip current so that you swim out of it, which means you swim horizontal to the beach, not toward it.

  15. You just go with it (parallel) until you feel it weaken, and then swim to shore.

But if you try to fight it, you'll just tire, and then possibly drown.
