  1. walk, trot, canter? what does M & M stand for except chocolate candy?

  2. m and m stands for mountain and moorland. You can look up what the class consist on the Internet!

  3. Depends if its in hand or ridden mountain and moorland. Primarily ponies must be shown in their natural state, not plaited or feathers trimmed. Walking and trotting in hand. Walk trot and possibly canter in ridden. judge is looking for attributes on breed type. Welsh classes especially sec A and D are most exciting to watch as handlers are expected to let the ponies show at a fast extended trot. See royal welsh show for how its done! Or go to your specific breed website ie. welsh pony and cob society.

  4. I like to do Working Hunter as it combines both jumping and a showing phase - best if the pony isnt very 'showy'.

  5. M&M stands for mountain and Moorland.

its a showing class you're asked to walk trot and canter on each rein to show off your pony and their paces.

  6. in hand or ridden? mountain and moorland classes are run much like every other show class.  riden will see you walk/trot/canter on each rein with the whole class, then you will perform a short show for the judge (or the judge may ride your pony) doing basic paces an anything else you'd like to show off!  then you might be asked to strip and do a walk and trot in hand or you may simply be judged on the former part.
