  1. talk on the phone of course!  I've got an hour commute and can catch up with friends on the west coast..

  2. I listen to talk radio the Dave Ramsey show on the one hour drive home.

  3. Listen to music & curse at stupid drivers

  4. listen to radio and pick boogers out of my nose

  5. I used to mainly listen to CD's, but I have since found a radio station that plays what sounds like my CD collection, but in a random order.... very cool!

  6. You think your roads are bad?  Gee whiz, try driving in California (unless thats where you live)!  But yea, i don't focus on the potholes because somehow its to the point where i steer away from it without even paying attention to it.  I also seem to be on the same lane and cut over to another lane almost identitically each day, give or take the distance.  I enjoy warm days with the window all the way down and just cruising down the highway listening to the CD.  I most often never listen to the music on the radio.  Ocassionally i'll be on the cell, but i try to stay away from that.  I also notice i keep an eye on the clock to see whether i'm making good time or bad time at certain checkpoints hahaha!

  7. nowadays, sing to myself. But there were times, when i wasnt alone in the car, and the weather was good, and it was creative! Good times!

  8. I count cigarettes, kinda like sheep

  9. I don't drive my commute anymore.  I take the bus.  I thought I'd hate it but it's so much better than driving home.  I can sit back, relax, read a book, listen to my iPod, or shoot the bull with the other passengers while someone else deals with bad road conditions and idiot drivers.  Best of all, my employer reimburses me every month for the bus pass, so it's like taking the bus for free.  Now I don't have to pay to park, I save money on gas, and I save a heck of a lot of wear and tear on my car.  Works for me!

P.S.:  No state has worse roads than Michigan.  We have two seasons here -- winter and construction.  Construction is getting longer and longer every year.  Now they're starting their big Detroit project February 25th, and they don't expect to be done until the end of November.  Joy...

  10. Nights with Alice Cooper.  ^-^ gotta have my music!

  11. i listen to sirius satellite radio.  commercial free music and my favorite radio guy howard stern.  he makes traffic disappear!

  12. Aaaaah, my quiet time!  I use it listening to contemporary Christian music which I find soothing and relaxing.  This helps switch from my employee hat to my wife & mother hat.

  13. I don't have a commute anymore (work from home) but when I did, I listened to music mostly.  I would also evaluate traffic and change routes frequently if the freeway got stacked up.
