What do you do or say when you have to go to your ex's house for dinner so that it wont be akward.??

So i have to go you his house tonight. And don't get me wrong since we broke up we are still friends just not as close and everytime i have to go over there(they invite us over a lot) neither of us know what to do or say and its wierd. idk if he likes me as a friend or more either way hes 4sure my friend. And i don't know what to do PLZ HELP ME. i asked one of my friends about this and she said,"well do either of you have feeling for each other" I know i always will have a lil bit of feelings for him but not enough to ever date him enough. Idk what to do

Why do you HAVE to go to your ex's for dinner?

Are you a young person living at home, and your families have dinner together?

School is starting, or has started, so if you don't want to go, you can opt for doing homework instead. OR

If you are still friends, just go, be pleasant, and claim homework, so you can leave early if things become strained.
