  1. Open an in home daycare!

  2. I have plans to teach a preschool from home, thus utilizing my teaching degree, only I get to choose the curriculum and the hours.  We have also done a home business in the health and wellness industry called USANA, you can check it out: http://cnjking.usana.com.  We make about an extra $100/month right now with it, but as we increase our business, we will be making more.  My dad does it also and makes about $1500 every couple weeks right now with it.

I also sell stuff on craigslist a lot, I'm always going through our things and getting rid of stuff we don't need.

  3. That all depends on how much your husband makes and the aera in which you live and how much you need.

  4. I'm a SAHM but don't bring in any money.  We have 5 kids so the daycare expenses alone mean we'd probably lose money by having me work.

You could try things like Avon, Pampered Chef, Scentsy.....  all those home party sales things.  If you have the right personality for it, you could do quite well.  You may also consider cutting back to part time so that you still bring home some money but get to be with your baby more.  When I was a new mom, I did in-home daycare for a while.  Again, it takes a certain type of person to deal with other people's children all day.  You could also consider finding an evening job so that you work after your husband gets home.

There are lots of ways to make it happen.   Good luck finding something that works out for you and your family finances.

  5. taking on something like avon, party lite or , epicure is great solution ! If you know the right people who will buy that stuff. If you are in canada you will recieve one years paid mat leave so that really helps! My mat leave runs out soon and i am not going back to work. I am going to be making baby things to sell at the local farmers market. blankies, books, chic wipes cases, gift baskets.. hopefully it works out!

  6. I stay at home with our 4yr old and i'm due with another in Nov. and currently well for the past yr. i have been watching a friends child (hes 2) m-f 7 am to 6 pm and i charge her 100/wk and that alone buys our groceries for the week but if you could just watch one child it really pays and you can even do like after school kidsor just put an ad online but its great espiecially if you have one home already but since you will be havingyour first i suggest that you do avon or whatever till you have the baby then once your ready- take on watching another child (check local prices of in home daycares first - usually 60 to 120 dollars  week depending on the age.

  7. You could sell things on ebay. In my first month of selling on there i made 400 bucks

  8. avon

  9. i have been a stay at home mom for two years now. we are army and things are tight very well was.my husband wanted me to get a job but we found out i was pg so he didnt push. then when i wanted to get a job i found out we are moving so why do it. i find that when i dont have a job my husband does better in his. he knows that his son is being taken care of by his wife and that we are safe at home. and i know that god will give us every thing we need. yeah there are things we want but i have learned to live without with alot of things. to me it sounds like your hubby doesnt want to give up stuff. a week after we found out i was pg i told my husband sorry got to get rid of the truck and now we are so happy we did. gas back then was 2.20 and it had a 360 in it u would have to fill it up just about every other day. when being a stay at home mom u have to learn to do with out and to use sec hand. if u are really good u can find alot of stuff that is used but doesnt look like it. u can do baby sitter on the side. i was going to do that but my husband didnt want to have to deal with a kid before the baby and he was getting ready to go overseas so he just said it is fine. and we have a house that we own and two cars and getting ready for baby. now i can say that we can put almost half of his check aside each pay day for just stuff. i went through and thought what can i change. i would of gotten rid of the tv but he would of bgotten mad so i called the company and said another company could do better for me and ask what they could do and now i have phone (both) and internet and tv for only 90 dollars a month when it was over 150 i have cut our food bill in half i drive less. but most of all i tithe and i know that is what gives us the money when we need it and makes the bills lower just in time. i know god wants me at home so i do what i am told. and when i do he blesses me. and i enjoy it every day. i hope u and your husband can work something out. good luck and god bless
