  1. You call for it.

You put it's cage outside in clear view with the door open and fresh food in its bowl.

    You call for it.

You search for it with its favorite toy or treat in your hand and entice it to you when you see it.

You put up flyers all over the neighborhood with a picture and your address & phone number--  in case someone catches him or sees him on their property.

When you get the bird back (IF you do)  you take it to the vet for a professional Wing Clip and never let him get outside again!

  2. You whistle for it and hope it comes back. You can hang flyers, incase it goes to someone else. You can put it's cage in an open space in your yard where it would be able to see it. There isn't much more you can do. Hopefully you get lucky.

  3. Place the bird's cage outside and hope you can get it to come back. IF you can get close enough to it you could spray it with water then catch it, but if it is up in the trees where you cant catch it, just hope it comes back its cage.

  4. My breeder had a customer whose cockatoo flew away.  It loved french fries so they spread a sheet on the front lawn and put some fries on it.  The cockatoo came back for the fries and they caught him.

I'd say put something familiar in the yard and see if he comes to investigate it.
