What do you do to cheer yourself up when you're feeling blue?

  1. i sleep,walk and pray.


  2. I have a lot of ways of lifting myself out of a blue mood.

    Write my feelings and thoughts in my journal.

    Read through my list of positive affirmations, repeating each one to myself. (It's useful to make a list like this for yourself.)

    Get outside in the sun (if it's out).

    Cuddle and play with my cat.

    Watch my favourite tv or films. (Good sci-fi tv / film always cheers me up.)

    Immerse myself in something I really enjoy (like posting messages on the internet).

    Talk to interesting people, or funny people.

    Find a joke website and read the jokes. ;-)

    Do really good puzzles (usually also online).

    Write something (poem, story, etc.) and post it on http://www.writing.com

    Meditate like this: sit or lie down and look inside myself, at the feelings & thoughts in my mind and at the sensations in my body (without judging them as good or bad), then relax my body and mind while breathing deeply.

    Go to sleep!

    Maybe do some yoga after I calm down a bit.

    If I am really down, I will stuff myself on ice cream.

  8. I read Psalm beautiful poetry from the bible always helps, talk to a friend but most of all pray. Answering question here helps also by being able to help others find answers they are searching for. God Bless You.
