What do you do to get yourself out of a bad mood?

A while ago, I was riding on our Sunday School bus with the kids from my church. I asked one little girl, "What do you think I should do when I get home from church?" Without hesitation she responded, "Play in the mud." Actually, that doesn't sound like a bad idea....kind of therapeutic.

  1. I have had the same problem. Getting grounded, losing special priveleges such as watching TV and hanging out with friends can give you those so called "bad" moods. To get out of it, i usually do my favorite hobbies that i am still able to do, even after grounding. Such as playing basketball, and surf the web. So if your in a bad mood, feel free to do certain hobbies that you are good at :]

    skateboard and chill with some friends of mine and joking around.

    but before anything i would like to think deeply about why im so angry and see it as a challenge to overcome =)

    also go to the forest preserve...i ran away from home once when my parents were drunk, and i didn't have any friends to stay with which made me even more depressed, so i went and explored the forest preserve.  i went on an unmarked path that lead to a stream, and i saw a wild beaver swimming around!  it was so cute!!!

  5. I put on some nice calm music and try to remember that life will be better in a day or two. Worst case, I just let myself be in a bad mood - being in denial of your emotions doesn't help you at all, it's best just to let yourself be what you naturally are.

  7. Think of funny things that have happened to me or that would be funny if they really did happen.  I always do that and I laugh so hard and everybody looks at me.  I just think my own thoughts are funny.  lol.  Thats what I do.

  8. ı don't know.Take a walk.Maybe can work out.Also whenever ı feel bad or when forms an emptiness inside of me write something.It makes me calm:)
