What do you do to keep your pointe shoes clean?

my pointes always get oh so dirty! how do you keep them clean? and if they get dirty how do you clean them?

I always use calamine lotion.

You just put on little on a cloth, rub it on the shoe, and wait until it dries.

I've tried water too, but the lotion cleans the shoe easier.

First of all..before you dance on a floor...make sure it is half way clean to begin with.

But I do know that even sometimes that doesn't prevent it. Take a damp cloth to the shoe and scrub it down. Never put them through the washing machine though. That ruins the shoes.

hey i love my point shoes to..but maintaining them is kind of hard. to keep them really clean i either get a  washcloth (not to went..damp) and scrub with a little izty bit of soap.or i get calamine lotion to cover the dirt spots!! try it!! oh and theres this stuff on discount dance.com and its called pointe shoe makeup and that works really well to!!
