Question:

What do you do to make yourself happy?

i feel like c**p today, and could use some tips....everything i do doesnt help

its relationship problems.....and i dont get to see my bf until we go back to scool, so dont say s*x or anything like that....

  1. ask your self "What makes me happy?"

    There are many needs we have.

    I agree that activity and love and helping

    are a big boost to your own happiness.


  2. One idea is Gratitude. Take out a notebook/diary or piece of paper and write down ALL the things that you are grateful for. Even simple things like "my health" "the comfortable bed I get to sleep in" "this home that provides me with safety and security" "my family, that no matter what, does love me and provides me with a feeling of groundedness and belongingness" "my interests in life...that put a smile to my face when I engage in them" "my breath...that keeps me alive in this precious life" "the books...I can get or I have that can teach me so much about myself, my life" "for the luxury of having the internet and be able to look up everything I need and be able to interact with people "for my capacity to love....even if I can't be with the one I love right now" ...........keep going on.. according to ur life and situation, and you will find that you will start to feel better and not take anything for granted anymore....

    Infact, if u can make this a habit, even better. Write down 5-10 things everyday that u are thankful for and grateful for.

    Anytime u r feeling blue, pull out ur gratitude writing, and your heart will be calmer and more content.


  3. turn up the music, dance and sing along!

    watch something like friends to make you laugh/take your mind off it

    phone up a friend to talk to, about your problems or just to talk

    chocolate actually can make you feel better

    look at the good things in your life

    make a list of things you have to look forward to

    do something productive (clean your room, organise papers etc. it sounds bad but when youre done its really satisfying)

    go out for a walk

  5. music, but i remove all depressing music off my playlist (soft songs). food, chicken preferably for me, helps! if that doesnt help, try talking to a friend, not about your bf, just try to talk about something else, to help you distract your mind from the thought of your bf. goodluck!

    Even if you dont feel like it, it tricks your body into thinking you're happy. Try it.

  7. most ppl would suggest music.. u know music soothes the soul..

    but in that sorta situation.. i'd say u'd have to keep occupied.. like kinestetic things.

    i'd say go out with your friends, go places, play tennis or go to the movies or the park. but if u can't be wid ur friends, i'd say cook. all that movement and thinking keeps u occupied.

    pull out a recipe from online n make something. u know, bake some brownies, cook some stir fry, learn to make new things. the new stuff will keep ur mind away. pretend like u gotta make some cool, new tray for a potluck party wid ur frenz, and u wanna learn to impress them wid new stuff.

    my friends think im a hit at da parties lol i be makin dem buffalo wings, crab rangoon, bbq ribs... and its fun. try it and next time u hang out wid ur bf or ur frenz, u can show off.

  8. Hi there, it's a good question, there's lots you can do but remember you become unhappy over time and you become happy again over time as well, it's not a do this and you will be fine thing, it's ongoing effort and improvement that you need.

  9. Do things for other people. Help people - know that the world is not about you. Spend time with old friends, people that are important to you...
