What do you do to someone who has stolen from you?

if someone has stolen from you try finding the truth why they did it.or tell someone.

welp the nice person would say ask them to give you back your items and then forgive.

however, when i would confront them, get me items back, and get them back.

nothing to bad but enough to make sure they knew not to mess with me again.

I had some small and inexpensive items stolen from my dorm room and so I found out who it was and stole the items back and put my name on them.  They I showed them to several people so they knew they belonged to be.  So, when she stole them again everyone knew she was a thief and it hurt her reputation.  Don't let the person get away with it.

I have seen teen age  boys beat a man to death with sticks because he had stolen a goat the year before.

And there are few criminals if that is allowed to happen

In Arab countries they are much softer and only cut of your hand .
