  1. I tell myself 'anxiety' would harm me and tell myself to keep calm and think logically. I wash my face and feet or take a wash. It helps me to calm down and think analytically.

Often, whistling of humming a happy tune also helps me to transform my 'anxious' self into a 'calm' 'thinking' self.

  2. I like to meditate (and this doesn't necessarily mean sitting cross legged mumbling mantras).

I imagine sound in my head, two notes that vie against each other yet create a harmony.  They are usually low tones like a drone.  This helps me clear my mind of questions and worries and concentrate only on the sound.

Having quieted your mind is an immensely liberating experience, it's up to you where to go from there, whether to increase your self awareness or slip back to normality with your new found sense of calm.

    Hope that helps,

    Pax,

    Ape.

  3. Eat Dark Chocolate, It is a natural stimulant and it is good for you. Try it!

  4. I take a benadryl and go to bed. Seriously. This is literally sleeping it off!
