  1. Make sure you know your gates, have a cell phone with you, dont take alot of luggage. Dont worry about it you will be fine! If you act nervous you will draw attention so just act like you'vs done this a Billion times!

  2. My experience :

I'm 14 and I just had a trip alone recently last June 15 with Cathay Pacific Airways from Manila- London  and yea im considered an adult already. When my parents did the reservation they did ask for a special assistance which is Meet And Assist. Upon check-in in Manila, the airline staff did assist me from check-in to boarding and I was really lucky cuz they bumped me into Business Class although we paid for an Economy Class ticket. We used an A330-300. During my connection in HKG, there was a staff waiting for me, my name and flight was with him in a cardboard, so I approaced him and he did assist me from the security check point again to boarding. Upon boarding I was the first person again to be inside the aircraft and luckily again they put me into First Class(we used a 3-class A340-300). The service during the flight was really great and I really wont forget the memorable experience with Cathay Pacific Airways!

    Advices:

    1. Always keep a mobile phone with you to contact your parents.

    2. Keep sufficient money in case for emergency use ( I kept $300 with me)

    3. Don't hesitate to ask an airport staff cuz their always there to help and assist you.

    4. NEVER hesitate to ask anything to the Flight Attendant during your flight.

    5. Always, have in handy with you is your passport, your ticket/ itenerary

    6. Don't be scared

    7. Ask, your seatmate in the plane for any inquiries(you could ask/him or her to accompany you)

    8. Enjoy your flight! :)

**Before i forgot, the airline will give you a small badge for you to pin in your shirt. And if ever your parents did'nt request for your special assistance, you could ask the agent for it during check-in

  3. Just make sure you go to the right terminals, and sit with your luggage, and sit in the waiting area right outside your Terminal. Read a book or something and if you are lost, just ask someone who works at the airport for directions.

  4. Have a cell phone and just relax.

Copa Airlines is actually really good with this stuff. I would suggest flying Copa from where you need to go. They are really friendly and always there to help. Especially in instances like yours.

Remember, keep your luggage with you at all times and don't go looking around the airport to let the time pass. Stay by your gate and once you are on the plane just relax.

  5. You'll be fine.  People are generally very friendly, so if you aren't sure if you're at the right gate, there will be help around.  It isn't that bad, Just remember not to freak out about anything, relax and enjoy the trip.
