What do you do when someone is tail gating you?

tell me. im sick of it.

i ususally pull off the road to the right a lil and go in the dirt so maybe a couple of rocks hit him or something. im sick of these people

But if I did have a chance I would slam on the brakes. Quickly accelerate and go next to him and flick him off =).

Yeah I'm evil.. Or I could follow him to his house.... NAHH getting to personal =).

well you COULD slam your brakes on and sue. but suing is very time consumming..... I usually let up on the gas just to tick them off a little more than speed to get them off my tail. if that doesn't work and they're STILL  get way too close my fav is the one fingered salute.

Most people that tailgate do so because either you are going slower then the speed limit or they are in a hurry. If I see that I am going too slow(this doesnt happen often) then I speed  up.

If I am on a 2 lane road(1 lane going each way) and doing the speed limit  then i dont do anything let them go around. If they persist then I might tap on the brake light to let them know to back off.

If I am on a 4 lane road then I will move over to let them pass. nothing makes me madder then to be on a road and 2 people are riding side by side and wont let anyone go by that wishes to drive faster.

I just slow down even more.  If I am going a little over the speed limit I make sure I go the exact limit or a little below.  Then every chance I get I brake.  If they hit me it is their fault and it usually isnt worth it so they back off!  I dont want to get hit believe me, I have a new vehicle that I cant be without, but I am not going to get a ticket for speeding because some fool behind me doesnt have patience.  If the road is more than two lanes than by all means I let them pass me.  I would never speed up next to another car so the car behind cant pass.

I flip the rear view mirror and listen to the radio. Out of sight, out of mind.

One time I saw someone throw an unopened can of soda out the window intending to hit the tailgater behind.  That's not a good thing to do because it could easily end up hitting an innocent driver in the next lane.

i usually tap my brakes hard, then quickly accelerate.  it's fun to watch them slam their brakes in a panic.
