  1. Well, why not.

You may think life is hopeless, but being negative is only going to bring that outlook. Trying thinking more positively, join clubs, meet new people.

The more things you do, the more you'll start to realize how important your life is.

  2. It's a struggle I know and the only hope I can offer is that people do get better.  If the meds don't work, keep trying.  Don't be afraid to ask for an adjustment.  Are you in therapy (not just seeing your psychiatrist for meds).  Meds will get to where you can deal, but the therapy is what makes you better.  You know this but if you're truly thinking about dying you need to get to a hospital or at least call a help line.

Andy S is an idiot.  Maybe one day he'll see that the only difference between cancer and mental illness is ignorance.  Both are lethal if untreated. I hope HIS mind doesn't betray him some day - then he'll wish he had cancer.

  3. Alright forget all the jerks that answer "you are so stupid." Lets face it depression sucks, a lot, and I know if you could control it you would get rid of it. BUT think about the things you love, the things you want. I want a family. I love my dog. And don't say I love nothing, because you do, your depression does not. Remember, underneath all this c**p you have you. I know it seems so hard now, but scientists are always coming out with new drugs, so there is hope.

  4. I would go to the doctor and tell him/her that I wanted to be weaned off the meds. They may be doing more harm than good. Don't go cold-turkey because it could be dangerous.

Then plan something positive for yourself and work towards that goal.

    Good luck to you.

  5. I like to eat. If that answers your question. My favorite is buffalo chicken strips, from frozen, and fast food french fries, also frozen. Bake about 14 minutes at 425*. I bless myself first, thank Him for making the meal possible, and then feel like a million bucks for about an hour...until I feel depressed again.

You might want to try a different antidepressant. One that actually works. It may take years to find the right one and a dozen different ones. Give them about three months each.

  6. you people are pathetic.  honestly, go walk into a cancer ward or into a childrens hospital and see how many people would love to change places with you
