  1. I'm going to go to school in Ramadan. And it's hot. Like, really, REALLY hot.

I take a nap, do something that I really like so I don't need to remember my hunger.

Reading books is a great idea!

  2. As'salaamu Alaikum,

I've only had one instance where the hunger and thirst was so intense. That was simply because I overslept Fajr and had nothing even to drink for almost an entire day instead of just the daylight hours.

Let's face it, a couple of hours isn't too much to ask. To me the challenge is abstaining from the behaviors, not the food.

If I become conscious of my hunger, dhikr works best for me and also remembering that millions don't have the choice of breaking their fast.

  3. Read the Qur'an and listen to qur'an recitors...also yeah i usually watch islam channel and peace tv...Go to neighbours house and in my own home..help with the cooking. I also read books, tidy up since guests come over and finish any work. Keep myself occupied really.

  4. LoL..who said u cant watch tv or go on the computer !!

Anyway...it was never hard..i remember that i m doing this for god and  god will help me with it !!

  5. usually a Ham sandwich

    mashallah

  6. I dream about the luxurious food epect me on the dining table and jumping over it as a lion on it's prey immediately after sunset....and all the night i will spend to fill my belly and enjoy with my man! But iam doubted that isn't it a crime to deny water to our body whenever it requires? WE, MUSLIMS FILL OUR BELLY  HUGE FOOD IN THE NIGHT TIME AND IT REQIRES LOT OF WATER TO DIGEST!

  7. I will start thinking of h**l fire....

  8. I'm usually in school (college this year!)

But, there's thios radio station which comes on 87.9 FM exclusively in Ramadan. They have guest speakers, naats, hamds, a naat competition (I won last year but they didn't give the prize out, LOL! I waited for it to arrive in the post for a month!!!)

I;ve heard you can  smell peppermint oil. It curbs the appetite. Don't do it though, there's no point if you don't feel the hunger.

  9. only just have some patience till Aftar time

  10. i did not knew that u can't go on the computer during ramadan

    thanks for telling me

but i just read quran in the ramadan and do house work to keep me busy and yes u can read books but it has to be islamic and not those fairy tales

well i don't work i am still in college

  11. I usually go to school during ramadan. But this year,we have holidays.I would sleep during ramadan if I feel hungry.Or recite the quran, play computer, helping mom etc.

    Ramadan Kareem!!!

  12. I work during Ramadhan. It is a bit hard but time still flies better than sitting at home. I just thank Allah for all the blessings we've been given. If I feel faint, then I go and rest for a bit.

A friend of mine always tells her kids "see how hungry you are but you still know the exact time you will eat your next meal, now imagine all the people in world who are even hungrier than you and never know when they'll eat next."

    Wasalam.

  13. I watch the science channel.   But i keep it on that when i'm not fasting too.   Science channel HD is great.

  14. my work hours will be reduced to 7hrs during Ramadan, i don't think i will feel hungry, being so busy won't let me think of my stomach,,

  15. Ok, last ramadan i had this problem many times. But now i have come up with a couple of  'genius' answers. Ok..

    1. Have a nap

    2. Dont watch T.v what ever you do as there is sometimes delicious advertisements which just make you hungry eg. M&S adverts.

    3. Dont look at the time - for alot of reasons, trust me.

Thats preety much all i have. Hope i helped (i doubt it) but good luck on the following ramadan. :)

  16. i study during ramadan

if you feel hungry it means that it is shaytaan (satan) that is trying to mislead you into eating

all you have to say is au-zo-billah-hai-min-nash-shaytaan-nirr-...

which is asking allah to keep shaytaan away from you

in ramadan you can watch tv and surf the web as long as you DON'T MISS YOU PRAYERS but it's a good idea to spend most of the time praying cause ramadan is the most blessed month!!!!!!!!!
