I just bought a Roketa scooter 250 cc brand new and they guy told me that the first thing I would need to do is change the oil because the manufacture just puts in some foreign brand starts it up runs it for a little bit to make sure it works then he is done. So one of my first questions is where is the oil pan? Also he said something about flushing the system. He advised me to just drive the scooter around town or to the next town but not over 40 mph untill its has about 500 miles on it. So if any of you have a Roketa let me know any advice you may have.

  1. Take it back and get your money back then go get a good scooter with a dealership behind it.

  2. if you just bought it and it brand new then it should have come with a owners manual read up on maintenance it will tell you how many miles till first oil change the oil in it now is a engine break-in oil should be fine and it will tell you how many miles till its broke in but as for the 40 mph that's c**p you can go what ever the speed limit is you just cant hot rod it hard till the motor is broke in or you could damage it but the owners manual will tell you every thing you need to know

  3. scooters don't have an oil pan.  just a drain plug.  read the owners manual it should have come with and use a helmet when riding.

  4. thats break in oil, anyway what he told you is right, but read and follow the break in procedures in the manual. If you didnt get one, call him, if you still dont get one, download from their web site.
