Do you climb onto the roof, or is that a bad idea?

  1. Getting out period would be the best idea. Staying inside would be a very bad idea.... I suppose the roof would be just fine, you'd probably want to get to the highest/safest spot you could find in your general area.

lol!! p**p.. haha while that may happen, I doubt it's going to help you very much.

  2. Get out.

It depends about the roof. Are there other things that are more stable and easy to climb onto? You should probably not try to swim towards anything -- the current is likely to be very strong.

  3. p**p

  4. How exactly do you get "caught in a flood" in your car? It's not like they just appear out of nowhere. If I was dumb enough to drive into a river or something the smart thing would be to get on the roof and try to swim to shore.

  5. Get out of the vehicle.

However, do not try to cross a flood. Your best bet is to climb in the hood or the roof of the car and attempt to signal for help. Stay with the vehicle until help arrives. Never attempt to swim to shore...the currents are likely to be very strong and you would be swept away.

Staying in the car is likely to get you killed.

If you come across standing or running water in the roadway and you do not know how deep the water is and/or the condition of the road under the water, do NOT attempt to cross.

  6. Yes always get out and get on the roof of the vehicle and try to stay calm and ride the car until you can get to either a high place or wait for the EMT.........
