What do you do when you get sand stuck to your board?

Do you have to strip the wax off, basecoat and all?

ya i would redo it. if you get better wax they make it more sand resistant. i doesn't feel nice having the sand there.

i usually surf rocky places (im in Nova Scotia) but when sand does get on my board i usually keep it there for a while cause it doenst bother me then when i eventually strip it off i buy soem $2 wax and redo it quick i wouldnt bother with base coat and all that other whatnot stuff everytime

get a wac comb or try to remove it with some hot water or try some wax to cover it

Yes, you strip it off. You should probably do so a couple times a year anyhow.
