  1. Take a deep breathe and just follow them.

There is no point in driving up their **** -  this will only make them go even slower.

I just sit back and ride it out until I get the opportunity to pass.

  2. UP here in the mountains we get that from april to the end of november, vacationers and then leaf lookers. All you can do is just sit back and pull your hair out. I want you make a bumper sticker... "pull over so the people who live here can get to work". How's that sound?

  3. Well... if it was me and I was in the city like you state... I'd just turn and take a different route.  Simple.

  4. Uh take another route or realize that this time behind the person is only a small granule in your day and take a deep breath. Someday you'll be that person, Freakin' relax when you drive it isn't formula 1....

Remember it ISN'T all about you... There are others we have to deal with just like some others have to deal with you...

  5. If you know that you will be stuck behind that driver for more than 5 minutes, then you really have no option but to let that driver know that he is going too slow and possibly holding up traffic.

It's a bad idea to tailgate, and flashing your lights might not always get their attention.  I would tap my horn really quickly (half a second or less) to try to get them to speed up.  Whenever I get honked at that way I always know that the driver behind me is not being rude and is politely telling me to correct myself.  (Unlike honks that last for more than a second which obviously indicates an impatient or rude driver.)

If that doesn't do anything, then there's nothing much you can do.  If it is an emergency, then you can bypass politeness and start honking more.  If still no response, as a last resort in emergency situations, check to make sure there is no opposing traffic then pass the slow driver ASAP then get back into your lane.

  6. First, I get very annoyed, because I'm an impatient person. Then I put the situation into terms that are more relavant to me; I pretend that it's my precious wife, or daughter, or grandaughter, or elderly Mom, or somebody else that's very dear to me, and then I shift gears a bit and admit that it's not one of my loved ones, but it is somebody's loved family member, and they probably have a good reason, so I'll just have to be patient, because I don't want to do anything to frighten them or make them nervous so they have an accident. On a few occasions I have pulled over to the side of the road and had a short chat with God, thanking Him for my many blessings, and allowing time for the offending slow poke to get out of my way.

  7. Honk?

    Flash Lights?

    Try to pass them?

    Take a Different road?

    Use the finger?

    Just wait?

Not much more you can do.

  8. omg. i have no paitence for stupid drivers! im tellng u, i dont care what the reason for driving way to slow, pull over! hmm...i would have ride their tail. yes i kno, its not smart. but thats my answer. but then again i think about it...i wonder if you could have called the police. bc driving that slow is dangerous. police do pull ppl over for driving too slow. i think my second idea would be better. lol

  9. You should  have honked big time!!
