Purely going off of instinct and gut feelings, and changes in your spouses attitude, what do you do with no proof? He is far from home on business, doesnt answer his phone and states he is sleeping, etc. etc. Everything points to cheating, but I don't know for sure. Do I just keep believing what he says until I finally catch him? HELP I am sick to my stomach

  1. If you don't have proof than you don't know.  "Instinct" is not "knowing."

  2. Just follow him when he is away on business If you really feel something is wrong and you just "need" to know for your own sanity, there is nothing wrong with a surprise visit to your husband while he is away.

  3. Confront him about this. I would wait til he gets home though, if at all possible because this sort of thing is more easily discussed face-to-face. If he denies it then you have to decide whether you want to believe him and stay with him or whether you stick with your gut and leave.

  4. Trust your instincts.  Usually your first feelings are correct.  But if you need proof, then do some investigating.  Check his email and phone records when you can.  That's what I did and I'm glad.  I was right and I'm better knowing the truth.

  5. You have no other choice but to believe what he states until you have proof. The accusations will only lead the marriage to a deeper turmoil and drive him farther away. Either hire a PI or have a friend follow him and provide evidence. Otherwise, you have nothing else to go on.

Remember, Suspicion, not proof, will destroy a marriage. Therefore, make sure you have proof.

  6. Always trust your intuition...it is a strong basic emotion.  I have been there and I "felt" something was wrong...and I became more vigilant...checked her phone...checked her emails..and found proof and confronted her.  Its a sad thing but...based on this site..it happens alot. He should want to talk to you and want to be your friend...that is what relationships are about.

  7. If I felt like I couldn't trust my spouse 100%, I'd be packing my bags. I don't need proof to know if I can trust a person or not.

  8. Check his phone records if it's a cell phone. If he's cheating there may be calls that you don't recognize. There are some wonderful reverse phone number web sites that may help. If all else fails call the number yourself and ask them if they know your husband.

www.whitepages.com is a good one to start with.
