  1. nothing. If they are pathological, they'll never stop, so there is no use in calling them on it.  Most people won't admit they are a liar anyways.

  2. If you think its a lie, it probably is a lie.

But there is probably a real reason why the person is lieing.

Doesn't necessarily mean their a bad person.  Just means something's up. They might be showing off or really intent on telling people what they think they want to hear.  Could be a million reasons.

Ask them nicely.  If you want to, that is.

  3. hahaha. I had a roommate like this in college that I lived with for two years. It was frustrating. Borderline hilarious at times just how pathetic people like that can be. Its like...you know they are fabricating every story, every occurence, every thing they pretty ever do. Its annoying. I used to just say "oh really?" alot or "huh." After awhile, I showed no reaction at all. Thats what they want. They lie because they want a rise out of you, they want to be funnier, they want to be exciting, they want attention.

I just started to walk away whenever this person started telling a story or talked about his day, his weekend, etc. I have no idea why or how people get like this. Cool question.
