What do you do when your civil liberties have been violated, including, the Miranda act?

I understand the the "miranda warnings" only after a person is taken into "custody," and before any interrogations.

Write a diary of the event.  Find witnesses.  Make a police report.  Read up on other cases. Go to a civil rights attorney

Were you questioned before you were given the Miranda warning or after the warning and after you had invoked the right to remain silent?
