So what would think is a good way to teach her not to do that? She is still young that talking to her is not going to do it because she wont understand!

  1. Just say no that hurts, pull her away, & sit her in a chair for a time out.

  2. My daughter bit my little one back when she did this.  That habit did not last for long!

  3. My mom would say bite her.. lol. It's not a great idea, but I bet you if sissy bite her back just once she would understand how much it hurts.

When my daughter's cousin (who is the same age) started biting her we would separate them or put the cousin in time out. I think what finally did it was when my daughter learned the word ouch! and stopped wanting to play.

  4. separate them whenever she bites - but tell her what you're doing and why.  ok so she doesn't know what the words mean yet, but she'll get the idea if she hears them in association with her behaviour every time.

babies as young as 8 months can understand what "no" means when it's said in a warning tone of voice, as long as they are then stopped from doing whatever it was they were doing wrong.
