A younger coworker started the same time as young and talks over everyone because she is quite sure that she is the queen of certainty. ...so frustrating to remain professional when you are dealing with someone that is no professional.

  1. Hahahaha oh no I think we've ALL been at that point and it's unfortunate but you just have to keep your head up and try not to blow up in that persons face!! I know how it feels, it's horrible, annoying and not to mention rude! Sorry you have to deal with this =( but i think everyone has SOMEONE who acts like this at every job

  2. When I worked at a law ofc, we had a young idiot t**t start and got on everyone's nerves except, of course, the boss. One day the attorney came into my ofc and started yelling at me about something I had done wrong and he ended by saying "Why did you do this?" Then Miss Big T*ts-No Brains chimes in, "Yes, why did you do this?" I was so angry and so shocked at her nerve I quit right then and there, walked out and never went back, I am far too old to have to tolerate snotty brainless twats.

In your case, just totally ignore her, don't even look at her and pay no attention to her when she speaks. Pretend she is a bit of dust on the floor, an errant breeze from the window and just be busy. That will drive her nuts, as she craves an audience; don't give her the satisfaction.

  3. You have already answered your own question. Don't join her 'crowd' and be an onlooker or listener. When her group of 'followers' gets very thin, she will discontinue her onslaught. I wish you much success. Peace!!!

  4. Why don't you get a bunch of monkey masks and hand them out to everyone except her, and when she starts in with her know it all stuff have everyone put there's on and make ape sounds?  It may not make her see she that her know it all attitude implies you are all stupid, but it could be fun anyway.

  5. Just ignore her plea for attention.  Concentrate on the job that you are doing and not what your co-workers are doing.

  6. I have run into this type of personality from time to time and I always remind myself that it come from a deep insecurity.  She needs to be right all the time, and so she collects little facts and spouts the answers to every problem.  The way I have dealt with this is to smile and say, "you may be right",  and simply walk away.  By doing this, you put yourself in the position of being the more confident person.  You don't need to be right, or have the answer to every question, and is kinda sad that she does.

I also recommend watching old reruns of the sitcom, "Cheers", or the new series, "The Office".  If you watch a few of these next time, Miss Queen goes into one of her diatribes of information, you will find yourself laughing.
