  1. Think you are about 7 years late, but take him to a good dog trainer if you can't train him yourself.

It might cost a bit, but to have a well trained dog is of benefit to you.

You owe it to the dog and everybody that he meets.

  2. I'd re-post to under Pets, then Dogs not History to get the most answers.  Also, add more information - have you always owned this dog?  Intact or neutered?  Recent examples of aggression - IE my girlfriend came to my house and the dog nipped her as she walked by - no provocation.  OR a bunch of friends were rough-housing and he got excited and then barked & lunged wildly.

So - even at 7 - a dog can be trained.  (You CAN teach an old dog new tricks - unlike the old wives' tale)  I would take him to obedience class.  If intact - neuter him even at this age.  Depending on the level of aggression - get a private assessment/lessons from an obedience instructor.  If something in particular really riles him up - try to remove or limit that in his environment.

Would love to know more so we can give you a better answer.  Re-post under Pets, Dogs and the community will respond!!

  3. castration.

  4. For tens of thousands of years, humans have domesticated the animal.  Dogs like that need to be put down.  He's had a 7 year life.  Let him go.

Or you could confine him to an unpleasant cage.

Or you could read Cesar Milan's book and he'll have some ideas.
