    I never got one back. My understanding was that one physically goes into the passport itself and one goes in the file.


  2. Its not really needed but I keep mine together with my passport in my fireproof lock box, once you're traveling you won't need it so you can leave it at home.

    The reason for the extra photo is so in case the processor messes up one of the photos, they still have 1 more chance to work with it.
