  1. Nah! I think the little junker toys should be thrown away LOL! but if they are good toys that the kids don't play with anymore and they could get a lot of use out of them still then I would take it to a church or salvation army and they would be glad to take that kind of stuff in.

  2. My mum always took it to good will or gave it to the neighbors.

  3. As long as the toy is safe to play with then  ask friends or family if they want it.You can also donate it to your local charity shop.Someone will buy it for a bargain price and the proceeds benefit a charity.I donate my used items to the Salvation Army or to Diabetes Pick up.If an item is unsafe or broken try to recycle it if possible otherwise throw it in the garbage. If you have followed all these steps you can feel good knowing you tried every avenue before using the garbage as your last resort.

  4. Goodwill and the Salvation Army always appreciate donations. Garage sales are a good way to get rid of "junk" and make some extra cash. Christmas is right around the corner and charities will be asking for gently used toy donations.

There is always someone else who wants your "junk." Don't throw it away.

  5. Apparently we don't do anything with them, as my son has more toys than I have dollars.  I just keep thinking, how in the world is it possible to collect all this stuff in so little time.

  6. you shouldnt feel bad for throwing it away but if u do u could always give the toys to a charity shop.

  7. I throw the junk away, and take the better stuff to the mission here locally, theres also red cross, and I'm sure any number of charitable causes where you live. its a shame to just throw stuff out, theres always someone that can use it :0)

  8. If you get it from the dollar store it usually will end up being junk and it's just not something you would want to give away.

  9. give it to charity shops or if you want it collected, check out http://www.freecycle.org

  10. Yah, I hate all those little junky toys to like the ones they get in happy meals, etc.  I throw them away a few days after they forget about them. They never ask me where they are so I know that they really don't care about them.

  11. If it's not worth saving, throw them away.  A good place to donate items to are churchs, or Good Will, or if you're having a garage sale any time soon, have a box marked "FREE STUFF".  Let YOUR junk, become somebody eleses.  Hope this helps.

  12. I sometimes sell the used nicer things on craigslist, or I just donate.  If it's broken or something I toss it.

  13. Broken or not, I donate them to charity. Some kids love tinkering with broken things... my son always did!

  14. Honestly, no.  Not many other people want the little stuff either.  However, you might consider taking it to a domestic violence shelter in your area.  It can be difficult for staff in shelters to have toys to be able to give children as prizes, etc.  Those could be used for something like that.  I am a financial counselor/children's counselor at a domestic violence shelter, and I know I can always use that stuff.  But if it really isn't any good anymore or doesn't have it's pieces, etc, I wouldn't feel bad tossing it!

  15. We used to have a box at playgroup which parents could donate unwanted small toys to. We used when we ran a stall at fetes etc. to raise money,so we could run a "win a prize" type stall where everyone won. Most of them come up great when dishwashed :) We just made sure to separate them out so small children didn't get a toy only suitable for older ones.

  16. Use freecycle, Good Will or donate them to a children's organization if they are still in good use and in good condition.   You can also try a garage sale.

If they are broken or busted up, then I would trash them.  Broken toys can be dangerous to pass on to other children so it's best to get rid of them by finding the nearest dumpster or even see if there is a place that can recycle them to make new toys.

  17. If it bothers you to throw good stuff away then you should donate it to goodwill, or post it on freecycle.  You can always find someone who wants toys.

  18. have a garage sale

if its junk, throw it out

  19. use freecycle, under yahoo groups

  20. I save everything for my next garage sale. You could also donate it. There are lots of kids who would appreciate all the "junk" toys.
