Question:

What do you do with your pet when it dies?

I was watching a show today and they mentioned pet cremation services. I've had many pets in the past and even though I loved all of them very much I would never spend the money to get them cremated! We just buried them in our backyard and put a couple stones on top of it. Just curious... has anyone ever gotten a pet cremated?

  1. I took my cat to a pet cemetary about 45 minutes from my place. It wasn't that expensive and I just couldn't bury him in the yard. I do have a plague in my yard but he isn't there.

  2. yeah I had my 2 dogs cremated when they passed

  3. i cry but then i bury it in its fav outdoor spot!

  4. when my bird died, i cried all week non stop, but i made my dad bury him, i couldnt take it anymore, i was so heartbroken at the moment. I miss my little birdie so much.

    R.I.P

  5. my last cat i put on a small rubber vessel, set fire to it, and cast into Lake Oswego. Very honorable.

  6. Usually i get my pets "put down" a few months before their time. It's really sad and i start crying hysterically because i just cant bare the pain. I wouldn't get a pet cremated though.

  7. when i was little my dad cremated my dog

  8. A waste of money. Some people do love their pets like family members, so I respect their wish to honor them. If it is a goat, or cow, etc, you can eat them, and in some asian countries, dogs are a delicacy. I wouldn't eat my dogs, they are good guard dogs, and I have retired them. They live an easy life now, but when they die, off they go to the city pick up.

  9. i cry

  10. i've always buried mine (ofcoarse they were scorpions and i wasn't about to flush them). but my grandma got her cat cremated. it's a very good way to be able to know they're still close by even when they're gone.
