I was trying to plan a meal, I don't want chinese or thai food, so I was looking at japanese dishes. The only thing that looked interesting to me (so far) was Soba and Okonomiyaki, it doesn't seem that either would go good with sushi.

  1. I have a bowl of miso soup and a side of edamame beans with my sushi. As sushi can often be quite filling it's not essential to have an additional dish such as omelette or noodles!

    Enjoy!xox

  2. That is a very good question.  Sushi, to me is very light.  So to help fill the needs of your taste buds you need some kind meat or something heavier to fill the void.  First off, dont forget the beer or sake.  Secondly you may try some tempura or grilled chicken.  Lots of japanese restaurants will offer their share of grilled proteins.  I like this dish called Tako yaki.  It is octopus fried up in a pancake like batter served with an incredible sauce (dont exactly know whats in it, I think its some kind of tonkatsu based sauce)  with grated daikon, thinly sliced sweet onions, green onions and radish sprouts.  Oishi desu.

  3. i eat all my sushi with pickled ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce. miso soup is great to enjoy with as well.

  4. Mark, you been getting the wrong Sushi. The places I go you do not walk out hungry. Lots of protien, very filling.

The Miso and tea are really all that you would expect with Sushi.

  5. miso soup maybe?

  6. WASABI!! and some green tea and.... i dunno.. anything goes with sushi (:
