Advances in medications and tools used by medical professionals along with a longer average life span. It seems likely that, although everyone will benefit, the wealthy will do so the most as they are able to afford top of the line healthcare. Additionally, as the baby boomer generation retires, it seems likely that the study of geriatric medicine will become more prominent. The next few decades are certainly going to be very exciting!
