What do you feed snails

Question

my little sister and her pals found these huge brittish snails and she wants to keep them she is going to keep them in a big tank but we are wondering what to feed them

Green stuff , But do You Know what if you put a little beer in a bottom of a container then dig a hole in the garden snailss are attracted to itt. But put a stone in their so they can braeth they will drown other wisee and get a little drunk

well they like - grass, bannan ( i know u wouldnt have thought but htey love it ), dandilion leaves, letuce,cucumber, cabbage

cucumber is A  real fave ,

i have giant snails and i give them cuttlefish to help them build their shells (pet shops have them for budgies)

most veg is fine, snails need to have soil and also to be sprayed down every now and then to stop them from dehydrating.

also some cuttlefish is essential to keep snails shells strong and healthy..

well i don't know im still shocked that you found giant snells i would have dumped salt all over them

Most vegetation will do. But snails MUST have soil to be able to digest. Without soil, they will keep on regurgitating thier food, and die eventually. ONLY use sterile soil such as that from a pet store or garden centre.

Choose veggies with high amounts of calcium, like collard leaves, or endive. Caclium is necessary. If they aren't getting enough, they will eat thier own shells.

You should  probably give them lettuce and cabbage they love it. I  used to have snails they are cool arent they i know but you can feed they anything whats in salad and then they will have a happy life but dont give them water they wont drink it when you give them lettuce put water on it then they will drink it
