  1. I do breakfast for dinner at least one night a week for my kids because it's a meal I know he'll eat.  I have a 2 & 3 year old.  Meals are frustrating b/c my 2 yr old is diabetic.  My 3 year old is becoming  a little more adventurous in at least trying things.  I tell him to open his mouth and close his eyes and I can get him to try almost anything.  Breakfast is always pretty much the same cup of milk, banana, vitamin and then either cereal, waffle, french toast, pancake, oatmeal etc.  Lunch is usually a sandwich PB&J, grilled cheese, egg salad, etc. a piece of fruit and some kind snacky thing like goldfish.  Dinner varies between hot dogs, corn dogs, some kind of pasta dish, fish sticks, soup, sometimes we do breakfast for dinner too.  My kids do NOT eat veggies.  My 2 year olds dietician told me to just give them V8 fusion or splash so they get the veggie nutrients.  Sorry I can't be more inspired but my life revolves around meal planning.

  2. what do you eat?

  3. Why not feed him/her what you eat but in smaller portions

  4. well, my 3 year old sister eats whatever the rest of us eat

she has no choice usually, but when mom lets her pick breakfast it's either instant oatmeal (berry or apples and cinamon), cereal and milk or toast

lunch...well, she likes sandwiches--any kind, cut into shapes with cookie cutter

    frozen veggies

dinner... shell eat anything as long as theres dessert after :)

  5. I feed my 2 1/2 & 5 year old year old:

Hotdogs, mac & cheese, chicken fingers, loves peanut butter sandwiches, tuna with mayo sandwiches, chicken noodle soup, ham sandwiches, alphagetti, lunchables, mini pizza, loves pizza bagels (bagel with cheese and pepperoni put in the oven for a bit), cheese toast, grilled cheese sandwich, french fries baked in the oven, tortillas, wraps, burritos.  (my kids love wraps as another way for sandwiches: I buy the whole wheat wraps, spread mayo over it, and put meat on top, then roll it all up into a tight log then cut it up), bagel and cream cheese, Sprinkle cheese on  veggies, rice, potatoes or noodles. pasta salad (pasta noodles (any kind), mayo, carrots, celery, cut up ham and shredded cheese),

    Dinner: Whatever we are eating.

    TOMATO & HAMBURGER

1 cup cooked hamburger (use ground turkey for a more healthy meal!)

1 1/4 cup cooked macaroni noodles

1/2 cup ketchup - add full can of tomatoes instead of ketchup if you like

    dash worchester sauce

    1/8 cup tomato sauce

    1/2 can tomatoes

    1/3 cup cooked peas

    1/3 cup cooked carrots

Combine ketchup, sauce, tomatoes and Worcester sauce. add hamburger and

noodles, peas and carrots. Serve warm.

Make a small Shepard's pie: ground meat, veggies and mashed potatoes.

of course the all time favorite Spagetti :)

Baked Macaroni (after cooking the noodles and cooking the hamburger, mix together in a baking dish with pasta sauce and shredded cheese and bake until cheese melts)

Barbequed chicken/ribs without the barbeque LOL (cover ribs/chicken with barbeque sauce, line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil put meat on cookie sheet, cover meat with aluminum foil and bake in the oven for 1 hr on 350)

My kids like putting their own tacos together: hamburger mixed with taco seasoning, lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, salsa and either tortillas or taco shells :) fun but messy LOL

My kids love chowmein :) :) either with pork or hamburger LOL: cook meat, then add vegetables (brocolli, onions, mushrooms) then add some water add the noodles mix in soya sauce and cover and cook until chowmein noodles are cooked to your desire.

Fried chicken LOL cover chicken in whole wheat flour, fry in frying pan. served with rice/mashed potatoes/pasta salad.

Pork chops in mushroom sauce: Fry the porkchops with garlic salt, when cooked add can of mushroom sauce then serve with rice.

  6. Some of my 3-year-old's favorite foods are...

    Mac & Cheese

    Apples w/Peanut Butter

    Scrambled Eggs & Cheese

    Pancakes

    Spaghetti

    Hot Dogs

    Mashed Potatoes

    Cream of Wheat Cereal

    Peanut Butter Sandwiches

    Turkey & Swiss Sandwiches

    Grapes and Cheese

    Green Beans

    Corn on the Cob

  7. I feed him the same food the rest of the family eats - just in smaller portions.  No sense in creating a picky eater this early in the game.  Variety is good.

  8. When my daughter was 3 she was eating the same as an adult, but smaller meals.  She had a sugar tooth and so only wanted a bite of dinner and then desert.  After months of tears and fights, I  called her doctor and then took her in and together the doctor and my daughter worked out a minimum diet she would eat that covered all her nutritional needs.  This took the pressure off me.    She could choose to eat what I had made for dinner or eat her doctor prescribed meal and he had said only one cookie a day, so once that was gone that was it.  I do not know trouble you are having but sometimes the doctor can really help.

  9. cheese quesadillas

whole wheat curly noodles with butter and reduced fat parm cheese

    grilled cheese and broccoli

    Cheese and Crackers

  10. Hot dogs, apple sauce, mac n chez, gosh - my 3 yr old eats everything i make for dinner, pork chops, all vegtables, grilled cheese, soups, mash potatoes, - the only thing she is not fond of is hamburger helper.  Other than that she eats everything i do!  The more you let them try at a younger age the healthier their diet will be through life.  Just make sure you cut things small enough.  Good Luck!

    7) Pizza, Tater Tots, and a Drink
