1 - 4 year olds ?

I know what I'd feed mine (anything I was eating or cooked) but what would you leave for or expect a sitter to feed them ? What is some good stuff to have around ... and yes i know it can't be a bunch of stuff loaded with sugar?

Also which do you like best Motts or Juicey Juice ?

And i hate chef boyrdee so i wouldn't want to feed someone elses child that.

  1. Fix a meal for the sitter and the kids.....they can sit down together for dinner.  Have fruits and or vegis handy....already cleaned, so the sitter just has to put them out.   Mine LOVE baby carrots, brocolli, etc dipped in ranch....good for the 4yr old, the 1yr old needs cheerios or something like that.

I don't really have a preference on juice, just make sure it is 100% juice, no sugar.

  2. I feed mine whatever they'lll eat, I have one that likes asparagus, steak, brussel sprouts, mushrooms, ect and one that only eats chicken and rice, one that will eat anything vegetarian, except corn and one that lives for peanut butter and jelly. As long as they are well nourished and healthy. If you have kids with a variety of tatste like mine, prepare thier meals before u leave, then let the sitter heat them up.

  3. Anything she'd eat.  I have a picky eather...so I'd say:

    Frozen Chicken Nuggets

    Eggs

    Sandwich

    Pasta

    Hot Dogs

Foods along those lines.  As for juices, we use Hi-C.  Yes, loaded with sugar, but she only gets it a couple of times a week.

  4. I know that my daughter, & kids that I have sitted in my younger days, love grilled meat pieces. I also know that they like veggies & fruits of all kinds. My daughter is a fan of crackers, nuts & pasta. And in my experience all kids love these kinds of things. I hope this was helpful & goodluck because it does take time to figure out what they like!

  5. My son pretty much eats what I eat. When I leave him with a sitter I usually get one of those Gerber graduate meals

(he is only 15 months old so when he gets older i will have to find him something else), cheerios, and he loves jello and cheese curls. I actually give my son both Mott's and juicy juice.

  6. I would leave something easy for them to eat so I know they won't choke or something...I would leave chicken nuggets, fish sticks, mac n cheese...canned soup....crackers, string cheese, yogurt, graham crackers...milk, juice...thats about it...I don't want someone giving my kids something that will make them sick or choke, so more than likely I will feed them before I leave them anywhere and just leave snacks :)
