  1. religion

  2. We have forgotten our true nature.

  3. Fear (encompasses hate, loneliness, anger, ......)

    Greed (insecurity, lack of compassion)

    Ego (power, insecurity)

  7. Greed, Selfishness, Envy, Lust, Anger, Pride and the biggest one in my opinion is Gluttony.

This seems like too simple an answer but that is the crux of it all. If we all abstain from these altogether then the world will automatically become a better place. That I can imagine may not be possible overnight, but we can start with ourselves!

  8. Selfishness.

  9. Human anatomy.  Without the anatomy to feel pain or sorrow, there is no cause for strife and turmoil.

Laozi put it best when he wrote (in Ch.13): "無所以有大患者, 為吾有身. 及吾無身,吾有何患?" which I read as, "I therefore have great disaster because I have a body.  And were I without a body, what suffering would I have?"

  10. A struggle for power. Everyone wants and needs to be empowered, but often people mistake the things that give them power and they think that it lies in money and beating the other guy at the game. That is not power at all.

  11. outright Greed

we want it all and we dont care what gets destroyed to get it .

people love hardwood outdoor furniture but they dont see the destruchion of the forrests and the flooding once the trees are gone

everyone wants petrol and countries send men to war to get it or control it

we are all guilty in one way or another

  12. Sin

  13. Our way of thinking and reasoning! We all have different thoughts and each one of us wants to be heard! In that process,we come into disagreement which leads to strife and turmoil!
