My daughter is 14 months old and throughout the day she likes to snack on stuff. She gets anything from cheese puffs to animal crackers to chex mix.

What are some things your child snacks on throughout the day?

  1. Sorry but I won't give my niece (13 months) or my kids snack foods like that except on a rare circumstance. I won't eat them either, they don't have much nutritional value.

Snacks at my house are fruits, veggies (lots of veggies), a slice of whole wheat bread with peanut butter (after a year old), yogurt, a slice of cheese, sometimes we split a boiled egg, fresh hummus on a whole wheat tortilla with spinach is a favorite also.

**EDIT** Excuse me for being concerned about what my kids eat. The nutritional value is not worth it in 'puffs'  and crackers. The only exception is if they are whole wheat crackers, even then it's with some veggie or fruit.
