  4. hummus in tupa ware.

  5. Other things to consider:  a thermos of soup you made the night before; last night's healthy vegan dinner leftover w/ salad and/or steamed veggies; a tofu salad sandwich or a marinated tofu or tempeh sandwich w/ lettuce, sprouts, tomatoes on the side, red onions (If your child likes 'em...), cucumbers if your child likes them; pasta salad made the night before, nori maki made w/ veggies instead of fish--veggies can include carrots, red peppers, watercress, cukes, zucchini, daikon pickles (takuan), marinated tofu, scallions, sesame seeds, etc.  Nori maki can also be made w/ noodles instead of rice; Tempeh Rueben Sandwiches; any vegan pasta you can think of/ sesame noodles are lovely for lunch; a bean or bean and rice burrito; Mexican Black Bean and Rice Salad; cucumber sandwiches; a bagel w/ tofu scallion cream cheese (This is especially good if your kid wants to "blend in" and pass for "normal"...; Chili and Cornbread or Fiesta Pie; American Chop Suey made w/ tomato puree, ww elbow macaroni, TVP or bulghur or ground up tempeh, w/ pinto or kidney beans, onions, peppers, celery, corn, etc.; a baked sweet potato or yam w/ salad and Near East Bulghur Pilaf w/ chick peas thrown in...fruit salad and a bagel and soy yogurt or hummus; seitan stew; homemade pizza--the list is pretty endless here.
