What do you guys think about a girl....?

Question

being a police officer? honest opions only please. If you are a guy would you take advantage of a female police officer because they're not as strong as guys? My friend wants to become a officer but I think she'll get killed if she does this. I'm just worried about her. =[

I had 5 female officers on my shift at one time. It is the record for the department. I can honestly say this shift, an evening shift on the rough side of town, lead the other 3 evening shifts on arrests and activity. So having worked with several female officers I wouldnt have an issue with it. And as far as being strong, we got some pretty small males, and these days, with tasers, pepper spray, better manpower, better skills at verbally dealing with people, size isnt such an issue.

It adds more to the department than you know. One advantage of being a female on the force is every other officer watches out for her just as it was their little sister. Believe me, if one of my partners (female) called out out for help and she was being over powered, we would be there in less than 5 seconds and will have shot someone. I think female officers add that extra care to a call for sexual abuse or dealing with children as well that us males can't add. She will be fine, believe me, everyone will be watching out for her.

I would not be worried.

If shes is tough she is will do just fine..

If shes one of those girly girls...They may be an issue.

I wouldn't worry.  I've been doing this almost 10 years now.......some may try to take advantage of the fact that she's female but it's rare, and trust me after the training she'll get.......they should be the ones fearing her not vice versa LOL

It fine with me. I used to do volunteer work playing the "bad guy" for the local police stations during training. Reason being that I am a rather big guy and it helps cops to get over the fear of larger people.

The worst beating I got during one of those training sessions was from a tiny little blonde lady. Because during the training you get loud and resist arrest. She kicked my butt big time.
