  1. I think Marshall did very well last season.  When he first started his career he didn't get the bulk of the passes and he started only one game.  Last season he started all 16, and he caught 7 TD's, 1325 yards total, 102 receptions, and averaged 13.0 yards a catch.  My overall synopsis, is that Marshall is still young and he showed much promise last season.  I think in time he will be a premier receiver if he stays healthy and gets the playing time he deserves.  As far as Tony Sheffler, he has had an ok career thus far.  I can say that he isn't a TE like Jason Witten or Tony Gonzalez, but he was productive last season.  He had 5 TD's, 49 receptions, 549 yards, and averaged 11.2 yards a catch.  Not exactly spectacular numbers but they are still decent.  Just like Marshall Scheffler is young and still has a lot of time ahead of him.  One reason why his numbers weren't all that high is because he didn't play all of last season but if he did his numbers would have been more.. Both of these guys will be great in their careers if they stay healthy and play hard..

  2. Marshall is an exceptional young talent at WR.  Let's hope he'll finally get his head together, stay out of trpuble, and show on the field what he is totally capable of.  With a QB like Cutler, Marshall could put up some huge numbers in the next couple of years.

I hope Scheffler can stay healthy.  When he's been on the field he is a weapon Ds have to cotend with.

  3. I think hes going to be a player with loads of talent, but will be out the league soon, because of off the field issues !

  4. Marshall proved last year that he is an elite wideout in the NFL by placing high in all statistical categories

    102 Catches - 5th

    1325 Yards  - 6th

    7 TD's         - 17th

    70 1st downs - 4th

5.4 YAC - 7th among receivers with at least 50 catches

Note:  He was also received more passes thrown his way than any other recever(170) and only dropped 8.  Although his 7 touchdowns appears low, he was 6th in redzone targets (22) and should pull in more scores this year assuming he can keep out of trouble.  I think he will, but he may still serve a suspension for prior mess ups.

As for Scheffler, he appears to be solid, but don't count on him being the next Shannon Sharpe.  With 50 catches last year he could improve on that number going into the always anticipated 3rd year.  Expect about 65 catches 700+ yards and a half dozen TDs for an always solid Broncos offense.  Just dont expect him to crack the top 5 TE's.

  5. He is a very talented player.  I just can not stand his off the field issues.  He needs to seriously grow up or find himself in the same shoes as Chris Henry, Cedric Benson, ans Pacman Jones.

Scheffler....... He is up and rising.  He has the ability to be one of the next elite pass catching TEs.

Thumbs up to those who agree.
