personally i love the show.it teaches a good lesson to us teenagers to be more careful. they should be showing that show to kids in high school.to show them what parenting would be like from teenagers just like them.and for us to be more careful. i'd hate to say this but they should also have younger couples on the show.like 15 years and 16 year olds maybe even 14 year olds.in my school this year a 14 year old got pregnant. shes been pregnant about 3 times i've heard. but anyways whats your thought about the show?

  1. I think it teaches a good lesson also but I don't know that I would personally be able to leave my two young children with a teenage couple even if I could sit next door and watch everything they do on TV.

  2. IMO the show is good entertainment BUT I'm not sold on the whole "it's a good lesson" .....maybe for those experiencing it, but for those on the watching side of it, it may make them want a baby even more....playing house looks fun till you actually have to do it, they don't show near all the hardships on that show as what you experience in real life, that is a very basic and easy version.............

As a parent honestly I was appauld that ppl just offered up their children for this show......video cameras or not, it takes seconds, the camera won't stop someone if they get mad or frusterated enough by the time they get to the child it could be to late...like I said a matter of seconds!!!

But I do like to watch the show.........it is funny but not a real true to life expossure

  3. Personally I didn't find it very realistic.  These people were just babysitting someone else's kid.  It's totally different if it's your own kid that you live with day in and day out.  But, hopefully it did what it is supposed to do and scared some of those teenagers into waiting.  At least it woke some of them up to the fact that their relationships were c**p.

  4. I think the show is very good. especially when you are participating in the actual experiment. I do think that the teens learned a lesson hopefully they can continue to get more teens to realize it's not a fairytale it's hard being a parent. teens need a wake up call and that may be a good way.

  5. I thought the show was very interesting. I especially found it interesting to find in this weeks show that all the couples broke up after the show. Most of them were in college and pursuing their education. Sorry if I just spoiled that for some who haven't seen this weeks, but I thought it was a great lesson.

  6. According to me that program is stupid, you know why? coz nobody take care someone else's babies and elderly as their own. They might be doing this for money or something like that and their caring is so fake and for few hours, anybody can do that...........And i dont think it will make anybody a better parent coz most of the people after show breaks up. Parenting is a born talent, you dont hav to do reality shows to become a better parent, Try to be yourself and think about ur child's future, that will do it.

  7. As a Mom of four boys, including twins, I found one of their ad catch phrases to be amusing "it's birth control"  Our older two were teens when our twins were born, so we had said that about our twins, that this was a very good life lesson for birth control for my teens.  Although the show isn't that realistic, I did find it entertaining and I liked it.

  8. I agree with you- they need younger couples , the last time I took my 15 year old brother some where , he said "thats that girl from school , shes a freshman , and shes had two abortions , her brother told us that"  OMG , a freshman 13-14 years old and had TWO abortions?

BUT- They make it look too hard!!   Its really not at all.  My dad remarried a very young woman when I was 15 (shes only 8 years older than me)  , so from then on I became the sort-of-nanny.  I dont mind , they paid me , yes the kids can be difficult , but its never something i couldnt handle.  And now that i have my own home , my grandma relies heavily on me , she has dementia and gets upset VERY easily , but i can handle it.

The show is humorous , but its not whether you can deal with the stress of taking care of the children it is - Can you AFFORD them?  Can you provide a life that isn't lived pay check to pay check? Will you have to drop the kid of at grandmas because you cant afford child care?   Thats what its about

  9. It's a great show and hopefully the young viewers are watching and learning.
