What do you guys think about the year 2012?

2012 is just the revealing of the 'antichrist' at the middle of what Jews and Christians call the 7 year Tribulation. Many pagan cultures celebrate this evil event called "the abomination that causes desolation". When will Yeshua Ha'Mashiach (Jesus) come? Nobody knows. I would guess near the end perhaps around 2016. If you believe or not, that is up to you.

Things to look for to prove it to yourself soon:

Crash of American banks starting this week.

Fall of America ('Mystery Babylon' in Rev.18) as a economic power and other ways.

The start of the North American Union.

Final push to one world government.

Push to one world religion where there are "manys ways to God".

More food shortages and famines.

More earth quakes. More fires.

Strange and severe weather. Asteroids.

Push for USA and Israel to attack Iran which will start WW3-the atomic war to end all wars. (If you think China, Russia, and the Muslim world would just sit back, you are sadly mistaken and a fool!)

Temporary and unheard of "peace in the middle east".

Rise of a miraculous and awe inspiring world leader later to turn world dictator.

Major spiritual awakenings.

Rise of Islamic fanaticism.

Toleration of everything but Jews and Christians.

Rise in wickedness and corruption.

Implementation of Project Bluebeam (be ready to hear more and more 'alien talk'... watch your local skies for the show!)

Trying to make people first accept the REAL ID card (to get you in the system) and then right after forcibly implanting people with RFID chips (google: Verichip corp).

maybe the American empire will fall

will drive america to the ground

but something important has to happen in 2012 cuz its been predicted since like the Mayan time

I am worried about the world's future and the economy. I am also worried about war. I am reading a book at the moment called 2020, it's about how China could come to power over America and Europe in 2012. There is also a myspace site at http://myspace.com/truthvoice2012  it is concerned with all things 2012. it is scary but I hope none of these bad things will happen. I live in Ireland and there is already a recession here. :/

Do not worry.  Do not be scared.  I assure you that the world will not end on 2012 December 21 but it will end one day.  Remember that if there is a beginning, there is an end.  

Nostradamus’ prediction of when the earth will end is far into the future, past about 3700.  He still has many prophecies that are not fulfilled yet.  This is in agreement with what I heard and learned from the Holy Spirit—that there will only be about 144,000 around AD 2200, peace reigns for a thousand years till around AD 3200, and the release of Satan to test the descendants of the elect for about 500 years, and then the end will come.

The Mayan’s Mesoamerican Long Count calendar forms the basis for a New Age belief, first forecast by Jose Arguelles, that a cataclysm will take place on or about 2012 December 21 (Wikipedia).  It will be the end of the Mayan calendar’ 13th Baktun cycle (13.0.0.0.0) to start a new cycle.  

In the book of Revelation, it tells us about a period of a thousand years of peace. Has this occurred already since the time of Jesus? Not yet. That will still come. Those that give predictions of the world’s end, such as 2012 and numerous times during the past, are pseudo-preachers. Have they talked to God directly? If so, give proofs.

But there is something that is certain—and that is our physical death. This is what we should prepare for. It may come when least expected. We do not know the day and the hour. It will come like a thief in the night. So we just have to be prepared all the time. Search for the true God and when we find Him, follow His commandments and remain in Him until our last dying breath.

This is all that we have to do. It is faith in the true God that we can take with us when we depart from this world. If we denied Him, He will deny us also before the Father in Heaven and send us to h**l. This is very scary – to live in h**l forever.  If we knew Him and loved Him and followed His commandments, then He may reward us to live with Him eternally in His kingdom in Heaven. This is the survival kit that we should have.

Did you know that in his or her boredom, “Thanks for reading this” theorized in Yahoo Answers, Religion & Spirituality section, that 2012 is 20 + 12 = 32, the approximate age of Jesus when He was crucified and died?  I answered that when Jesus died, He was really 32 solar years old, equivalent to 33 lunar years.  Details are in http://www.geocities.com/peacecrusader88...  I believe that this is one sign that God is warning us of the impending catastrophe around 2012, like the end of the Mayan’s calendar cycle.  But I repeat, it is not the end of the world yet.

What is also certain to happen very soon (in about 2012 or earlier) is World War III and this is a nuclear war.  This “calamitous war” (as Nostradamus called it) will start from the Philippines, at Spratly Islands in particular.  The Spratly Islands lie on the southeast part of the South China Sea mostly near the coast of the Philippines.  The Holy Spirit told us that the Philippines is the wick of a gas lamp.  Once the wick is lit, it will be on and aglow.  He told us about this prophecy about two decades ago.  He said that the troubles in the Philippines will spread to the whole world until mankind is almost annihilated and a few will remain.  Spratly Islands is being claimed wholly by China, Taiwan and Vietnam; and partly by Malaysia, Brunei and the Philippines,  It is considered a tinderbox, a flash point.  It is very rich in oil and gas resources, more than the reserve of Kuwait.  The high price of oil may trigger the grabbing of these islands and start the war.

After the calamitous war, then we will have a new age, a spiritual awakening, an enlightenment, and peace for a long time.  The population would have been reduced by a third and there will be much arable land that will be available.  People will be living in planned cities and communities.

Isaiah 35:4 (KJV) states: “Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense; he will come and save you.”

The Mayan calendar does NOT come to an end:  it simply moves on to a new Long Count.  Even the Mayans knew that.

The Mayans did NOT predict the end of the world.

Planet Nibiru does not exist and, in any event, the guy who invented it said it was coming back in 2085 (or later).

No large comets or asteroids will come even close to hitting Earth.

There will be a sunspot maximum: there is one every 11 years (is there anyone older than 11 around you? that would be proof that sunspot maximums can be survivable).

The sun crosses the Galactic equator twice every year (around June 21 and December 21) -- did you feel a special "end-of-the-world bump" on June 21?  Neither did I.

There are no special planetary alignments that year -- in fact, it is a year particularly poor in planetary alignments.

The magnetic polarity of Earth will switch one day (it does so every 700,000 years and we are due) but it takes a thousand years to switch -- and it has not even started yet.

As for the Decline and Fall of the American Empire, that is something that everyone (except inside America, it seems) has seen coming for decades.  That has nothing to do with 2012.

Well, i dont really know what to say about the year 2012. alot of it depends on religion and such. As where most Christians dont believe so, because in the bible it says that no man, nor creature will know when the world is gonna end, itll happen when we least expect it.

But as to where if you believe in something different you could have diff feelings.

But, the chinese mimes did make the calender and must have been a reason why they stopped

so in therefore words i have no verstile opinon on it, seems logical in a way, but in a way it doesnt,

If Nibiru is as described, then i should be able to see it with my back yard telescope.  There are over a million amateur astronomers, and several sensitive sky surveys.  Nibiru would have shown up.  It hasn't.

The grand alignment in 2012 isn't a particularly rare planetary aligment.  I've survived better.

In 2013, the year 2012 will be known as the year the world didn't end.  It will not be an unusual year in that regard.  Predictions of the end of the world have come and gone with absurd regularity.

Here's a prediction of the end of the world that will happen: The world will eventually end.  I'd like to be around when it does - since i expect it will take billions of years.  Better yet, i'd like to witness it from a safe distance.

I think that's it a good number for the year after 2011, and before 2013.  I know some people are lobbing to give it the number 42, but that seems silly to me.
