  1. Hmm...hourly? What will you be doing? If your doing outdoorsy stuff probably like 13 dollars an hour....

  2. 1,600 for an average summer camp for the whole summer. If you find a fancy camp they will pay more, but its not going to be a lot of money

  3. All the kids you can eat.

  4. 17 million dollars

  5. Generally not a heck of a lot.  Especially if it's an overnight camp, where they're providing you room and board (which is value in and of itself).

  6. 1 week=250$

    2 weeks=700$

    3 weeks=1350$

-it matters what you are doing and what camp it is so you could get more or less.

  7. The ones I worked at didn't pay then, and they still don't pay their counselors now.

  8. For a day camp I would expect anywhere from minimum wage to 8-9 dollars an hour.  It also depends on how many hours you are working.  Some camps run from  9-3 while others are 7-5.  The ones with longer hours might pay a bit more.  Some camps also have early bird and after camp programs where you may get paid more.

For overnight camps they typically pay a weekly or bi-weekly salary since it is hard to calculate how many hours you work.  Overnight camps are often a 24 hour a day job because if something happens at night you are still responsible.  If you are just a counselor (not a lifeguard, horse assistant, or a director of a program area)  then you probably can expect $1400-1600 for the summer, including training.  It also depends on your age and experience.  Junior counselors are paid less than regular counselors and head counselors are paid more.

I have worked at 2 overnight camps for a total of 4 years and the first camp I got paid $1000 for being a junior counselor and lifeguard.  The second camp I have gotten $1800-2000 as a counselor/lifeguard and will be getting $2600 this year as aquatics director.

  9. I did it one summer for the YMCA and they only paid an honorarium amount of $50.00 a week.  So for one month, I only got paid 150.00  (there was one week where there were no kids so no pay.)  It was fun and got me out of the house for the summer but the pay sucked.
