  1. its not as easy as it sounds. think compression and the overall strength of the block itself. think about your car was designed by pro to perform best asis. if you add stuff here youll have to upgrade that. forexample, if you add a turbo, your adding air, adding needs more fuel. more fuel means bigger injectors, bigger injector need a bigger fuel pump and so on. inconclusion, if you wanna add a turbo, be ready for the unexpected, and spending tons of money. that is if you want your machine to work right.

  2. sounds good but being an auto you wont have control of manueling spooling up the turbo

  3. Waste of money.  If it's a manual, then it's worth to turbocharge it.

  4. f*****k NO!! I OWNED A SPECIAL EDITION ECLIPSE GT...(SINCE TOTALED IT)LOL. THERE SLOW, BUT DON'T WASTE ANYMORE $.

  5. You will have to completely rebuild the engine to add a turbo especially if its the 3.8L V6.  Turbo charged factory cars such as EVO's & WRX's are specifically built to run on turbos.  If you don't know what you are doing then you will seriously destroy your engine because increasing power means you have to enlarge or strengthen everything else to handle it.

I'm not sure why you want to turbo it.  If you only have the GS then it would be cheaper to trade in on a GT then to turbo your current car.

The V6 eclipse GT will exceed 140mph, isn't that fast enough.  I'm not stupid enough to take mine that fast but I know people who have.
