Or, what do you think of others who go out by themselves. The reason I ask is because I'm thinking of going to the mall by myself. I have several close friends, but they are all busy Saturday. I've been home all week by myself, so I kinda think that its strange (and sad) that I want to go to the mall/movies by myself on Saturday Night. I'm introverted, but that doesnt make me antisocial, does it? I really go to movies by myself at least once a month. I'm very self confident, and usually I go by myself to relax and be with my thoughts, but I've been alone all week. What do you guys think of me and the situation?

  1. Don't stay home just because you'll be  by yourself. Go out and have fun. You don't have to justify your actions.

  2. I go out by myself all the time.  Although I rarely ever go to the theaters by myself.

  3. I'm exactly like that.  Sometimes I need to watch a movie without anyone's commentary or just be with my own thoughts and people-watch.

    It doesn't make you antisocial.

  4. I almost never go out by myself :p

I would and have to the movies though, its not bad at all<3

    think you should go though

and you don't really seem much of an introvert at all >.>

but if you are either way it doesn't mean you're completely antisocial..

just go out on your own anyway its not strange or sad, just have a good time by yourself and see your friends when they're free, its no big deal

  5. I am totally confused by this. Why would you not go to the mall by yourself? If you want to go out and do your thing, go do it? This must be a new thing - the needing to shop in packs.

  6. I go out with myself all the time....

  7. Shopping's okay by yourself, but don't go to a movie or eat out by yourself. That makes you seem like a loner.

  8. If I have something specific to do/buy I don't mind going shopping or something by myself but I would rather not see a movie or eat out by myself.

  9. Its fun and less of a hassle and you get more stuff done

  10. OK .. let's assume the worst ... you're antisocial.  Not to be a jerk, but who cares???  I prefer to think of myself as someone who likes to do what I want to do.  I don't want to influence anyone else or have anyone else influence me.  My wife and I are together enough - it's good to do things alone.

You say your friends (hint hint - if you have a lot of friends, you can't be that antisocial) are all busy.  Does that mean you should stay home and wait for them with sandwiches?  No ... they would not want that.  It sounds like you would enjoy their company if they weren't busy, so I would say you are not only not antisocial, you are downright healthy.

  11. Do it, and why not, you will see several single people there of all ages.

Sure it's nice to be with friends, but sometimes our schedules, don't allow us all to get together.

It's no fun sitting at home, so go out, enjoy yourself, have lunch and people watch, that can be fun too.

Who knows you may meet someone, for a chat too.
