*****READ UNTIL END. Okay guys so I'm pretty psychotic. I have irrelevant visions of things that might happen but probably never will. But try this on for size. In Batman 3 (Title Not Known, BUT I think it could be The Dark Knight Returns), The Riddler gets introduced alongside The Black Mask and they wreak havoc on Wayne/Batman and try to discover the true identity of Batman. In the meanwhile, Harleen Quinzel is a psychologist at Arkham Asylum who hears about the Joker and aspires to be like him. As Harleen Quinzel works more and more with the Joker to fix his condition (Understand that you will not see him), she begins to adopt his sinister sociopathic mindset. She changes her name to Harley Quinn. She gets involved in criminal activities and the board at Arkham Asylum decides to remove her from the Joker's Ward. During one of her criminal crusades, Batman catches her and beats the living **** out of her (literally rapes her to within an inch of her life) and lets her go. Determined to get back at Batman, Harley Quinn decides to get the Joker out of Arkham Asylum. So as Batman battles The Riddler's mind tricks and the Black Masks authoritative pain-inducing weapon's arsenal, Harley Quinn breaks into Arkham Asylum (after she is fired) and attempts to relieve the Joker from the confines. She tricks the guards at Arkham and starts a massive riot there that pillages the Asylum. Towards the end of the movie, we see her walk down a long corridor where the Joker is being housed (the Joker has been moved as well) and as she approaches it she's trembling and shaking because she is not sure if the Joker will accept her new lifestyle. As she opens the door, it's pitch black in the room. She opens the door and looks around for a couple of seconds, and then asks (in that annoying Harley Quinn voice) "Mr. J, are you there?". For a few seconds there is no response.......then all of a sudden you hear Heath Ledger's Joker Laugh from the Dark Knight. Then the film cuts to credits. How intense would that ending be?
