Question:

What do you guys think of that spying software that's out in the market, Pandora PC?

It advertises to employers to spy on their slacker employees, to spouses to spy on their partners, and parents to spy on their kids. Allegedly, this software records every website the subject has visited, even after the person has deleted the history. Furthermore, it recorsds all keystrokes, which means that every e-mail and chat session is recorded. It also records every e-mail and message that is received, even after all e-mails are deleted and chat sessions closed. Many people think this is creepy because it invades people's privacy, while others like the idea because it can open their eyes to something they were blind to and thus help them get rid of unnecessary people in their lives (a cheating spouse, a slacker employee)...

I am kind of torn on the issue. While it is true that if one has nothing to hide, one has nothing to fear, there's the issue of privacy. And also trust... of course, the concept of trust is used and abused these days, but I don't know, what do you guys think?

  1. Sure, I would love to spy.

But, at the same time, I would be really grossed out when I realized the things people I knew were doing.

And, I would HATE for anyone to see what I was doing - no matter how innocent.

I don't think it should be used in any situation, not even on your kids, cheating hubby, or slacking employees.

I hate pulling the whole communist socialist, whatever thing - but I feel its just right there.

    Ewww.

  2. I think whatever it is, its and "Underground" program that the FBI probably knows about but they probably already took over the website(s) that have it available for download so that they can monitor who downloads it

  3. Advise them that it is on there to save anyone undue embarrassment and keep them from abusing the use of a computer. Doesn't this seem fair?

  4. I'm using Spytech Spy Software from http://www.spy-tech-monitoring.com and Mobile Phone Spy from http://www.spy-mobile-phone.com  I like them very much

  5. Trust, what a great question.  Almost 9 yrs ago, I would have used this program to get answers about my cheating (ex)husband.  Today, I would use it to find out info on my adult site boy friend...he denies everything, yet I have seen some of the e-mails he gets, and some of my friends posed as potential dates on some of his sites he likes to visit.  I know him better because of these types of measures I had to take, but it dashed out all the potential hope of me even trusting him a little. I stay because I love him.

I would definitely invade his privacy, because of his history, as terrible as it sounds, I think we all have closet questions we would like our partner to answer.  The spy program would help

This spy program would have its benefits. It also would have quite the opposite effect if the person was innocent.

Our world we live in has given us suspicion we need to not trust anyone.  Even a person's word or a firm, agreeable handshake is not solid anymore.

This has been the best question on here in a while.
