What do you guys think of the NY subway Islam posters thingy?

...? I say let them do what they want to. It's silly. If the cops see anything suspicious on these posters they can rip it off you know? I mean it's freedom of speech dude! they are Americans too!

No one owes you a platform.

The platform is the subway, it is owned by the city, people do not have the right to post anything wherever they want it, period.

It is not freedom of speech.  Freedom of speech is their right to express themselves, not force others to hold up their posters, let them steal their podiums, etc.

Honestly I have not seen one yet. I don't ride the subway that often and when I do I don't pay that much attention to the ads any way, I am usually reading a book, magazine or talking to a friend.

I'll come back and answer some more if I see one, or after doing some research.

I don't like them one bit...people who have not read up thoroughly on what Islam really is and what the Quran really says are in for a shock as to what Islam has planned for the rest of us. I'm talking about your own investigation, not hearsay. They are American citizens, but the core tenets of that religion are in polar opposition to the freedom of speech that you so love. That aside, I don't like the religious stuff in places like the subway.

Its pretty much a program to give better understanding to Islam. Hopefully this would help ease the hate.

sure,  but i think the Christan's should put up Jesus posters right on the side of them reminding Muslims to thank Jesus because we are a Christan Nation and because of that we allow Muslims to worship and build mosques
