What do you guys think of the new 90210?

Ok so I am going to date myself, but I remember watching the very first episode of Beverly Hills 90210 and I am stunned to think that someone is going to try and make a new one. Who else out here thinks that this is not a good idea? How can you top the original?

I think people need to view it as it's own show and not try to compare it to the old version.  Yes there  will be characters carried over from the old one, but let's face it...some of the stars of the new one were in diapers when the old one first aired on television.

I grew up on the original and to this day can still watch episodes I have seen a gazillion times and they don't get old. I think it's a horrible idea and  the only way it would work is if they brought the whole original cast back. It's basically a whole new show now.

i feel ya! i was addicted to that show when it came out. i think they're going to take the original concept and s**t it up and make it terrible!

As an actual guy, I can say that very few of us want another one, and think there are enough of the knockoffs now.

I am totally looking forward to watching the permire and comparing it to the first 90210 show....you never know it might be better....

I don't think it will be better but it may be a little interesting. It may be alot like One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl. I mean c'mon everyone knows that the teenage drama shows are so alike these days...nothing original. I LOVED the original BH 90210 and liked that it covered all major issues of the 20th century. How can they top that? They can't, possibly only "recreate" situations.

I was looking forward to seeing Tori Spelling come back for several guest appearances but she has opted out. :(
