What do you guys think of the plan to make a Donnie Darko sequel?

I think it's terrible! Donnie Darko ,being my favorite movie of all time, is a classic and should not deserve a sequel. The new sequel is S.Darko, it's about Donnie's little sister and having the same apparitions he had. It's not even gonna be from the genius who made it, Richard Kelly.

Ok I read something about Daveigh Chase doing something to the directors so they would make it. I think I read it on her imdb.com page. (she played the sister in the first one and I guess is playing her same part again. blah). I think they shouldn't make a sequel to this film. It was fine being left alone with just the first one.

I love Donnie Darko, I hate when they ruin a great movie by making a crappy sequel.

Why ruin a brilliant movie by publishing a sequel, yes some sequels do turn out to be good but with a first movie being as thought-provoking and as brilliant as Donnie Darko was, I just don't think a sequel can ever live up to it. It's like remakes of really good old films.
