  1. ALOT.

Warrant Officer Candidate School for starters is no joke.  Then you have to test out to even be considered for the aviation corps.   By testing I'm talking written exam and crazy strict physical.

Otherwise, you're competing against other qualified applicants wanting to be just like you.  You're going to have to find a way to make your packet shine compared to your peers.

If this friend is one in the same, well he'll also have to meet the initial army requirements ie ASVAB/phy/HS dip too.  BTW, you have to have 60 college credits to apply for warrant school.

  2. You would have to put in an application for a WOCS packet if you dont have a degree and youd get commissioned as a warrant officer. this is the bare minimum, and takes a long time to do.

I would suggest signing on as an apache crewchief, being the gunner, and putting in for an OCS packet after youve gotten a degree.

  3. Have the ability to dance a ballet while standing on top of a basketball.

  4. you just go through trianing the army puts u through
